Thursday, December 31, 2009 Auckland, New Zealand
As our last activity in Auckland we visited the Botanic Garden yesterday. It is quite extensive and has both native New Zealand plants and traditional favorites from England. Here is a nice little bridge on a pond, and the resident ducks.
The rose garden is particularly impressive.
This climate seems to be ideal for magnolia trees, and there are several impressive representatives of the grandiflora species.
